Dr. Gerber has developed and refined many of the appliances and treatment techniques that he covers in the course including the Gerber Pull-Forward, Gerber NM Orthotic, Gerber Finisher, Self Ligating Braces and more. His time-saving techniques are without peer. For over 30 years he has served as a consultant to dental labs and orthodontic manufacturers. His skills to design and improve on braces and appliances have been remarkable. Without doubt, no one has contributed more towards the concepts of NFO.

Pain Management of the Acute Pain and Trauma Patient

“Physical Modalities” is a unique two-day session on the applications of Integrative Pain Management in the practice of TMD and Orofacial Pain patient treatment for the dentist and therapist. Dr. Jay Gerber, Board Certified in Integrative Pain Management is the director of instruction. Several qualified experts will make presentations including Chris Covet, Physical Therapist who has worked directly with Dr. Gerber for many years. Additionally, Jay W. Gerber, esq. a personal injury trial attorney will present on the legal aspects that the treating provider needs to know. Topics include: how to triage the patient from a multidisciplinary approach to pain management, diet, Rx, physical modalities, intraoral orthotics, posture modification, alternate therapies such as craniosacral therapy, massage, DC and Myofascial Release. Some participation learning is offered inorder for participants to apply clinically relevant therapy. This session includes a module on Trauma Patient Management and the legal aspects involved with Direct Facial Trauma.
